Wellspring California is based on the modern university campus of CSU Channel Islands in beautiful Ventura County in Southern California.
CSU Channel Islands is the newest campus in the California State system. The historic Spanish-style revival buildings have all been renovated to accommodate the needs of a 21st century University – providing a very comfortable setting for Wellspring California. The campus prominently features a range of spacious quads, charming courtyards and state-of-the-art athletic facilities.
Wellspring California campers are housed in CSU Channel Islands Santa Cruz Village (SCV), a dormitory newly opened in 2007. Santa Cruz Village is comprised of two-bedroom furnished suites. Each suite has its own large bathroom and entryway. SCV has excellent activity and co-curricular space for students such as a lounge and two game rooms, an exercise room, ballet and art studios, sound-resistant practice rooms, study and computer lounges, and access to the New Student Center.
The University is nestled in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, just Northwest of L.A and is surrounded by strawberry fields, citrus orchards and raspberry brambles. Our campus is ideally situated for a quick pick-up from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The fabled Channel Islands themselves are easily accessible to Wellspring California, as are miles of beaches to explore, surf, and swim and the coastal hills to hike and see spectacular views
Southern California is renowned for its perfect weather; the forecast will be sun, sun and more sun. Temperatures in Ventura County are ideal for outdoor activities, warm and sunny during the day, with a pleasant coastal breeze in the evenings.
